The precision agriculture landscape is evolving, and PTx Trimble has been at the forefront of that charge since we first started serving the agriculture community in the early 2000s. For over 20 years, PTx Trimble has remained dedicated to continuous improvements in precision agriculture products and solutions, delivering high quality technology and generating value for farmers around the globe.
Formerly known as Trimble Agriculture, PTx Trimble is a joint venture between Trimble and AGCO. With the addition of JCA Technologies to the PTx Trimble joint venture, we are reshaping what’s possible for farmers around the world by putting them at the center of every innovation and bringing retrofit autonomy to the forefront of modern farming through the OutRun platform.
Our Dealer Network Has Recently Changed
PTx Trimble has served farmers through a variety of channels and distribution methods, ranging from a committed dealer network to long-standing partnerships with many original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). For nearly two decades, PTx Trimble served as the leading technology provider for guidance and steering technology for CNHi. This partnership led to both the factory and aftermarket installation of products powered by PTx Trimble and as a result, many farmers have come to rely on our guidance and steering portfolio, implementing the products into almost every workflow on their operations.
As part of the evolution of the precision agriculture landscape, PTx Trimble products are no longer sold through the same major OEM distribution network that many users once relied on. Instead, service and support has transitioned to a dedicated PTx Trimble dealer network. This network of agriculture experts is committed to helping farmers succeed, regardless of the brand of machinery they use.
Does This Apply to Me?
If you found your start with PTx Trimble technology through the purchase of OEM-specific products and you run red or blue tractors, this likely applies to you.
The dealer you may have purchased those products from in the past might no longer be the go-to place for your needs moving forward. Whether it’s product service, information about your systems capabilities, or how to purchase new technology in the future; there are independent precision agriculture dealers around the world that are ready to serve you.
Legacy products sold through this OEM distribution network that may require support from a different dealer in the future include:
FM-750 Display
FM-1000 Display
AG-252 GPS Receiver
AG-262 GPS Receiver
AG-372 GPS Receiver
Although the branding of your device may be specific to the brand of your vehicle, the technology behind the product is PTx Trimble, meaning future support, service, and upgrades now funnel through the PTx Trimble dealer network.

Why Upgrade?
Let's think about the smartphone you have in your pocket for a second.
The first prototypes of smartphones were introduced roughly 25 years ago, and it’s safe to say the technology within them has come a long way since then. The smartphones available in today’s marketplace have expanded use cases, much greater processing power, more intuitive user interfaces, and the list goes on. These advancements are all thanks to developments in technology over the last quarter-century.
The same developments in technology have applied to the precision agriculture industry as well. You wouldn’t want a 10-year-old smartphone in your pocket when the abilities of today's smartphones are so much greater, so why rely on a 10-year-old GNSS receiver during complex farm workflows when today’s offering can provide you with the state-of-the-art positioning information needed to achieve the highest accuracy?
The AG-392, the drop-in replacement for the AG-372, is the perfect example of the power of upgrading your on-farm technology. It comes with next-gen features:
Support for the Galileo and BeiDou constellations
The tracking of up to 25% more satellites tracked
Improved positioning accuracy and less downtime
Upgrading means you’re ready for the future — whatever it brings. Interested in learning more about the upgrade possibilities for your operation? Use the dealer locator tool to find the PTx Trimble dealer closest to you.
